“The moral foundation of our country is under attack,” Alabama's Chief Justice Roy Moore said in an interview with The Associated Press. The Alabama Democratic Party has not publicly responded to Justice Moore's remarks. Therefore, the Alabama Stonewall Democrats urge Chair Nancy Worley to denounce Moore and reiterate the party's platform which states: "We oppose discriminatory federal and state constitutional amendments and other attempts to deny equal protection of the laws to committed same-sex couples who seek the same respect and responsibilities as other married couples."
